Sunday Motivation Boosters to Help You Get Ahead Next Week

Today’s post is all about giving you a little Sunday motivation to do something productive this week.

At times we can feel stressy or anxious because our weekend flew by and now, we have to start all over again.

Instead of feeling down, let’s reframe things a bit and get excited about the possibilities that this week can bring.

…And yeaaah I don’t live under a rock and I know it ain’t easy to just get excited about something that doesn’t exist, so I wanted to highlight a few ways that can give you a boost or at least a little inspiration to get you started.

4 best Sunday motivation boosters for the week ahead…

#1: Think about what your goals are for next week .

What will you be leaving the office with by Friday.

Once you have an answer to that question, write it down on a piece of paper and put in somewhere you’ll see it often this week (e.g., near the computer or even on the fridge).

Once you can visually see your goal each day, you’ll be less likely to skip out on your work and take the necessary action to do what needs to be done.

See your goals often and visualize it in your head.

#2: Write out a list of tasks that need to be accomplished this week. (breaking your big goal down into smaller, manageable tasks)

Spend a few minutes to write out the list of tasks that need to be accomplished by the end of next week, and prioritize them in order from most important task (task 1) to least important task (task 5).

Make sure that you assign a deadline for each task so your brain can keep track on what needs to be done by when.

It might sound simple, but you’ll be surprised at how often people fail to do this and then before they know it, they have a huge list of tasks with no sense of urgency and deadlines for each one.

Make sure the most important task is done first so it doesn’t consume your entire week.

Here’s a couple of examples of what I mean:

Task One: Finish sending an email to John [due date: Wednesday by noon.]

Task Two: Email Alison about project update [due date: Tuesday evening by 4:30pm]

Task Three: Prepare presentation materials for Thursday’s meeting [due date: Tuesday afternoon by 2pm]

Task Four: Write an outline for the next post on the company site around the subject of “Influencer Marketing” [due date: Monday evening at 4pm]

#3: Reward yourself after finishing each task.

This could be as simple as doing some stretches, taking a walk outside, giving yourself an ice cream break or taking five minutes out for meditation.

It’s important not to neglect self care when we are busy working hard towards our goals!

Remember: Little things should be celebrated too no matter how big they may seem when compared with other tasks on our lists.

#4: Take the time to do something you enjoy – even if it ’s just for five minutes.

Doing something you enjoy outside of work can be a great way to boost your mood.

Spend quality time with friends or family, go for a walk outside, read your favorite book in the sunshine, or just do something special for yourself.
