MUD\WTR Review: An Alternative To Traditional Coffee

It’s been close to a year since I broke up with coffee. Well, we haven’t completely divorced. I treat myself to a good latte at least once a month.

But, because of MUD\WTR, I no longer depend on coffee in the morning. No more headaches, sleepless nights, anxiousness, and most of all, afternoon crashes.

Let’s get into today’s MUD\WTR Review.

What is MUD\WTR?

MUD\WTR is a mushroom coffee alternative made with high-quality, organic ingredients. One of its main promises is to deliver all the benefits of coffee without any of the negative side effects.

The main ingredients in MUD\WTR contain:

  • Organic Mushroom Blend – This consists of Chaga, Reishi, Lion’s Mane, and Cordyceps.
  • Masala Chai – Which consists of black tea, ginger, cardamom, cloves, nutmeg, black pepper.
  • Organic Cacao
  • Cinnamon
  • Turmeric
  • Himalayan Salt

MUD\WTR has a big following on social media, and there are tons of positive reviews online.

They even have a Facebook group that you can join if you had questions about their products, or if you just want to be a part of a community of others who also use the product.

Making MUD\WTR is super simple. Just add one tablespoon of the powder to twelve ounces of hot water and stir.

I personally drink it as a latte with homemade cashew mylk, raw honey, and a splash of vanilla extract.

There are also quite a few great mud\wtr recipes over on their site as well that you can try out.

PROS

– Great tasting coffee alternative
– Have great pricing options and subscriptions available
– Cool swag to buy
– Have a great community and podcast that educates on the health benefits of mushrooms and a ton of other great topics

CONS

– Shipping can be slow sometimes

MUD\WTR Pricing

You can purchase MUD\WTR as a subscription, or just one time.

They have a few options for you to choose from.

MUD comes in a 30 and 90-day serving of MUD\WTR, which is called Rise.

The 30-day serving starts at $40 with a subscription. $50 without one.

The 90-day serving starts at $100 with a subscription and $125 without one.

They also have a kit which is what I’d recommend for the first purchase. This will give you a chance to give MUD a try along with one of their coconut creamers.

It is called the Morning Ritual Starter Kit, which starts at $40 with a subscription. Although you wouldn’t really need to subscribe to this since you wouldn’t need everything it comes with every month or so.

I would recommend purchasing this one time. It is $60 for one-time purchase.

This kit comes with:

  • 30 servings of MUD\WTR
  • USB rechargeable frother (which is great by the way)
  • A free small sample packet of their coconut creamer
  • Free sample of their sweetener
  • Free stickers (I don’t know about you, but I love free swag)
  • Free guidebook

If you were to become a subscriber, you can cancel your subscription at any time after your first purchase, so you are not locked into anything.

It’s super easy to cancel if you don’t like your MUD\WTR. You can do this right inside of your mud\wtr account.

However, if you so happen to love it, they have a few options for you to choose how frequently you’d like to get your mud\wtr.

I started with the monthly but then upgraded to the 90-day supply that comes every 3 months.

Where to Buy MUD\WTR

You have two convenient options to buy mud\wtr. It’s available on Amazon, so you can take advantage of your Prime perk if you have it.

However, with this option, you will pay a bit more for your MUD.

The other and best option would be to just purchase directly from their website.

I like this option because I can easily manage my subscriptions, make adjustments as needed, and easily purchase their other products like their mushroom boost and mushroom sleep tea.

If you live in a bigger city, some craft coffee shops carry MUD so you can opt to buy a cup of MUD\WTR instead of coffee.

What Does MUD\WTR Taste Like

This is the number one question I get when people hear that I drink MUD\WTR.

For starters, it does NOT taste like mushrooms. At least to me it doesn’t.

The best way to describe it would be that it kinda tastes like chai tea with a hint of chocolate.

It’s definitely not your typical cup of coffee. But, in my opinion, it does have a great taste.

I’m not going to lie, there was an adjustment period when I first started drinking MUD\WTR. I’m a lover of good, craft coffee, so taking that away from my everyday routine was hard.

But all in all, I could no longer be dependent on caffeine so I had to quit. It took about a month to wean myself off completely.

MUD\WTR Sample – Can I Try It First?

MUD\WTR is really expensive to make and for that reason, they do not offer free samples at the time of writing this.

Is MUD\WTR A True Coffee Replacement?

It depends on the person honestly. For me, and thousands of other people, yes it is and has been.

Final Thoughts On MUD\WTR

MUD/WTR is a coffee alternative that has become popular in the last few years. The company prides itself on being a healthier option to regular coffee, with many benefits for mind, body, and soul.

While there are some other healthy alternatives available, I have found MUD/WTR to be my personal favorite.

It did take some time to get used to in the beginning as it doesn’t taste like traditional coffee, but the health benefits are worth it.

If you’re looking for a coffee replacement that is still packed with energy and focus, I would recommend giving MUD/WTR a try.
